2013 Men's County Tournament
The Annual County Tournament is one of the longest standing golf tournaments in our area. This much anticipated tournament is always full of tradition and excitement. Once a year all levels of amateur golfers come out to the County Golf Course and attempt to mark their name in county history....from Jerry Snable (11 time champion) to recent high school graduates, to your once a week league golfer, everyone wants his shot at winning 'The County'! Once again we had a full field of golfers.
This year was no exception!! The following are the Champion Golfers of 2013:
2013 OVERALL CHAMPION
2013 Championship Flight Champion
Justin Holyszko
Round 1 - 67 (-5)
Round 2 - 75 (+3)
TOTAL - 142 (-2)
Another year and another win for Justin Holyszko. Justin came out firing shooting a 5 under par 67 in the opening round. However he did have some competition nipping at his heels. Bo Herek carded a 4 under 68, while three time champion Mike Wenglikowski carded a 2 under 70. Justin was just able to hold on despite a valiant back nine charge by Mr. Wenglikowski to win by 1 shot. The crowds were in full presence on the back nine filling the fairways and roughs watching this epic battle of past champions!

Jake a past champion showed how to get it done and captured another title. After opening up with a disappointing 8 over par 80 Jake came back and fired a 1 over par 73 to beat out Cory Snider by a single shot. Jake was happy with his victory and said it was in large part due to his son caddying for him. I think his caddy fees just doubled! Great job Jake.

Congratulations to long hitter Jeremy Kloska on his first County Championship. Jeremy lapped the field in his first round by firing a 2 over par 74. He paced his way through round 2 and picked up a 6 shot victory. An overall impressive performance and a deserving champion. With scores like this first flight better watch out in 2014. Mr. Adams put on a show this year by winning his flight by 5 shots. Doug opened the tournament with a 1 over par 73 and never looked back. There were multiple players that played extremely well, but Doug brought his "A" game. Congratulations to Doug and a fine effort!
