A membership-driven organization for the Bay area business community, serving its long-term interests by promoting economic development, educational excellence and civic welfare. Bay Metro bus stop on Washington Avenue Office is handicapped accessible. Publishes Bay Area Business Journal.

MEETINGS: Annual dinner, eye-opener breakfast, and "Business After Hours;" date, time, and location available from office, in newsletter, and in the Bay City Times.

Provides information for small businesses. Provides an active legislative program assisting business people in solving problems and acting as the voice and advocate of the business community, especially through the local Issues, legislative affairs, and political action committees. Recognizes and gives awards for contributions to the community, like the Brick Award, the Athena Award and the Bay Area Business Hall of Fame Award. Provides an intensive training program for community leaders called "Leadership Bay County." Promotes networking opportunities for local business people with the annual dinner meeting, "Business After Hours," "eye-opener" breakfasts, the annual golf outing, and the business development cruise. Provides information about the community, including maps and referrals to member businesses. Co-sponsors with Saginaw and Midland Chambers the Tri-Source Business Expo annually for local businesses to display their products/services. Coordinates S.C.O.R.E. (Service Corps of Retired Executives) which offers free counseling services for both new business start-ups and established small business. The retired executive volunteer offers assistance on topics like writing a business plan, obtaining a loan, SBA loans, marketing, accounting and sales.
